This “MAGIC” device will send your embroidery files from your EmbroideryStudio 4.5 software directly to your embroidery machine via your wireless network.

The setup is simple and relatively quick

Attach device to PC.
Open Hub software.
Join the wireless network.
Provide basic details of machine and file type.
Attach device to your embroidery machine.
Send files.

There are two methods to send a file to the machines.

A) Send directly to a designated device.

B) Add designs to a queue and down load from the queue to a particular machine using a barcode scanner (see image below).

It is anticipated the device will work on the majority of embroidery machines.

Below is a link to a list of machines that have been tested and the device works.

If your machine does not appear in the list it does not mean it will not work, only that there has been no opportunity to test. If in doubt please contact your local distributor.

2020 is going to be an exciting time for Wilcom’s EmbroideryStudio users as we continue to innovate our flagship embroidery and multi-decoration solution.

An update is planned for early February 2020, and was showcased at the major exhibitions around the world. Available in this latest version is EmbroideryConnect’s management console called EmbroideryHub and brand new creative stitch types to take your digitizing to the next level. These will blow you away.

Available for purchase with this latest software release is EmbroideryConnect WiFi Device.

Firstly, the Reef Photo Stitch. This is a modern take on Photo Flash, where an incredibly complex image is simplified to just a single run stitch.

However, what sets this apart is that the single run never crosses itself or repeats along the same line. The coral reef-like stitch pattern concentrates in darker areas of the image. It is extremely fast and efficient and creates a unique artistic style.

The finished design also has only a single trim, which means it’s clean, and the design is flexible and soft to the touch. This style lends itself perfectly to capture gorgeous photos of people and pets. See this incredible stitch illustrated with the dog design below.

The second new stitch type is the Maze Fill. This stitch style has been used for decades within the fashion embroidery world. Specialist trained digitizers are employed purely to create these intricate designs and are typically paid 3x the salary of a regular digitizer.

The Maze stitch fills shapes with perfect, evenly spaced lines that never overlap in just a few clicks, saving many hours of digitizing work. Now, this technique can be achieved by all digitizing teams.

The style is typically used to create flowers, paisley prints or any outlined curved shapes. It creates beautiful designs with much fewer stitches.

Specialist trained digitizers are employed to manually digitize visually even “maze-like” run stitches and are typically paid 3x the salary of a regular digitizer.

Available as an inclusion within the software is a new stitch feature called Hand Stitch Effect. This feature creates a randomised organic hand-feel effect with random spacing and random thickness.

Apply it to any stitch type.

This feature alone will create fashion-forward designs and could revitalise your digitizing.

Last but not least important is the enhancement to the Advanced Sequin Element, to include the long-awaited Multi-Sequin feature. Wilcom customers have been asking for this all around the world, and it’s finally arriving in the next update. (FREE to all who already own Wilcom’s Advanced Sequin Element)... A new improvement we released in ES e4 with Update e4.1 is EmbroideryConnect.

This new add-on Element allows your Wilcom EmbroideryStudio to send designs to your embroidery machine using your WiFi network, plus a new USB WiFi stick provided by Wilcom.

If only I had this in my days! Part of the pain of working an embroidery shop floor was running from machine to machine transfer designs. Back then we used floppy, but now USB gives the digitizers and machine operators the same workout.

The other drawback of classic USB sticks is wear and tear on the machine. Pulling a USB stick in and out of the machine controller will eventually wear out the USB port on the machine leaving you with a hefty replacement fee.
